Everything about it works on, more or less, blind guesses. After all, when the cause is not known, the treatment is akin to shooting in the dark, in which case even if the arrow finds the mark you may still be left wondering what made it hit the proverbial bull's eye.

You have reached the level of Type II diabetes, and therefore, most of the theoretical and practical aspects of managing diabetes are known very well to you. Day to day management of a diabetic body is much like managing a small scale manufacturing unit. Insulin injections are routine and over the time, you get quite resistant to the fear of medication.

At this rate, if nothing substantial is done, the day is not far when lessons on diabetes management will be a part of the nursery syllabus, if not the pre-nursery ones. The word diabetes would rival the words like Papa, Mummy, Madam, and “Diabetes, diabetes” will be sung along with “Twinkle, twinkle little star”. Perhaps, a few other nursery rhymes will also be written in the glory- or dread- of the diabetes!

Gestational diabetes is associated with pregnant women. A balanced diet, as we all know, is of paramount importance for a mother to be. It, quite obviously, gains further importance in case of gestational diabetes. A mother is a mother long before she brings her little one in the world.
