| Diabetes– a High Level of Sugar in the Body |

Now, at this point we can discuss the importance of insulin in our body which is a hormone that is necessary to convert sugar, starch and necessary foods into energy. Thus diabetes is a life long and a chronic disease in which high level of sugar is found in blood and urine. The body cannot produce insulin, better known as the type 1 diabetes and in second case the body cannot use the insulin which is produced by the pancreas, known as type 2 diabetes and thus is unable to control the amount of sugar in the blood which leads to various problems such as heart stroke, numbness, coma, kidney failure which is the most common failure found among diabetes patients, which covers almost 20% of all the diabetes patients. There is no age limitation to this disease as it can strike to children, adults and those above 40 are the most common victims. Diabetes is not any kind of infection and is not at all contagious.
