What is diabetes? When the sugar level in
your blood is too high, you have diabetes. In type 1 diabetes, it is not
only high, it is out of control because the body actually stops the
production of the required quantity of insulin. In order to keep the
blood sugar levels under control, type 1 diabetes patient needs two to
five insulin shots per day. There are various names of type 1 diabetes
like insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM), mellitus diabetes,
brittle diabetes, juvenile diabetes, sugar diabetes and alike. To know

All Can Lead To Type 1 Diabetes
The type 1
diabetes cause is unknown and most of the people have very less
knowledge about diabetes. Diabetes mellitus or type 1 diabetes
is an
auto-immune disease which does not allow the body to produce insulin.
Insulin is the hormone that allows glucose to enter into body cells and
provide fuel and energy to the body. The autoimmune process in which the
body's immune system attacks, is responsible for destroying the insulin
producing cells of the pancreas and thus becomes the major type 1
diabetes cause.
Now, glucose provides fuel to the cells but when
it cannot enter into the cells, the body's cells just starve to death.
Therefore, it is very important for the people suffering with type 1
diabetes that they should regularly monitor their blood sugar levels and
diabetes test and take daily insulin injections.
