Urine is made of wastes produced within the body which include nitrogen compounds like salts, toxic wastes and excess water. It is the way by which the body frees itself from the toxic matter and it occurs when the bladder gets filled up. The body excretes not less than 0.5 liter daily in the form of urine. Frequent urination deals with urinating more than required and the problem is related to prostate gland and the urethra.

When the patient suffers from excessive, less or frequent urination, it shows there is something wrong in the urinary system. It means the body is suffering from some ailment. Examining the patients urine helps to diagnose different diseases. The test can indicate the presence of blood sugar or glucose in the body and it is a sign of diabetes mellitus. The presence of bacteria in the urine shows infection in the system.

Presence of blood cells in the urine can lead to more alarming condition and may result in cancer. Our system has organs that produces and secrete urine from the body. The urination is frequent when organs like kidneys, urethra, bladder and the prostate gland do not function properly. The urethra carries the urine from the bladder to the penis. Hot temperature and hydration conditions at times lead to frequent urination.

Frequent urination is caused when prostate gland enlarges and the enlarged prostate gland constricts the urethra which obstructed bladder temporarily. This condition is called prostate enlargement and mainly because of thickening of the bladder wall which causes intensive urge to urinate leading to lot of difficulty in urination and nighttime urination. It also brings together excessive thirst, blurred vision, sudden loss of weight and fatigue which can be the symptoms of diabetes. A patient can suffer from different prostate disorders.

BPH Prostatic hyperplasia is a common prostate ailment and occurs in 80 per cent of men after they cross 70s or 80s. In this condition prostate gland grows from the normal size of 20 g to that of 150 g. The disorder includes renal failure and due to the toxins collected inside the body. It may lead to acute bleeding and can be treated through surgery and blood transfusion.

Second kind of disorder is chronic renal failure. The disease is caused by myeloma, AIDS, lupus erythematosus, diabetes, and hypertension and leads to kidney damage. This can be done by cutting down on protein and fluid intake along with effective medication.

End-stage renal failure is another disorder related to prostate gland. It is life threatening and require long-term dialysis and kidney transplant. Urinary calculi is a disorder which leads to the formation of kidney stones and occurs when the stones block the paths carrying urine. In this case, the doctor uses ultrasound technique to break them down.

Bacterial infection is another problem caused by Escherichia coli. It is when a bacterium resides in the intestines. Such infections are to be treated with antibiotics.

Bladder and kidney cancer is another chronic problem and the disease occurs due to sedentary lifestyle smoking, obesity and environmental pollution. The treatment is done through removal of the cancerous tissues and radiation therapy.

Polycystic renal disease is another problem which is inherited. The disease leads to the formation of numerous cysts in the kidney. It can be treated through kidney transplant and dialysis.
Hypospadiasis the congenital defect in males: In this the urinary opening gets misplaced on the penis.  The patient must go for a surgery before attains the age of 24 months.
